With its smart visualization tools and user-friendly interface, the GeoSpatial Manager redefines how users interact with as-built surfaces. It allows for the effortless connection of users with real-time updates for surveyed surfaces, eliminating the challenges associated with managing vast volumes of survey data.
Furthermore, the Manager automatically updates as-built surfaces whenever new data is imported, ensuring that users always have the latest data at their fingertips and eliminating the risk of using outdated surfaces for critical design work.

The central storage of data on a cloud or network server also mitigates the uncertainty surrounding locating survey files that may be stored in various folders on a local or server machine. This centralized storage ensures that users have easy access to the most up-to-date information, promoting efficiency and accuracy in project management.

The annual Trimble Dimensions gathering, held in Las Vegas from 6-8 November, provided a panoramic view of the current state and future trajectory of the geospatial industry. The event showcased the industry’s adaptability and precision, highlighting the significance of high-quality data in driving advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

AI emerged as a transformative force in the geospatial industry, with discussions emphasizing the importance of quality data for AI applications. Trimble Dimensions 2023 hosted approximately 4,000 participants from 50 different countries, representing diverse professionals from various sectors, including surveying, mapping, construction, and asset management.

During the event, attendees engaged in discussions on prevalent industry trends, such as data quality, reality capture, automation, drone technology, and recruitment. Trimble’s experts shared the powerful role of geospatial data in catalyzing transformation across industries, highlighting the need for professionals to spotlight their contributions. The event also addressed the ongoing debate on higher education requirements and accessibility, focusing on nurturing the surveyors of tomorrow.

In the spirit of knowledge exchange, geospatial professionals are invited to contribute their insights to GIM International, a global platform for mapping and surveying specialists. While GIM International boasts a talented team of contributing editors, they recognize that there are numerous captivating ideas and use cases among professionals.

By sharing their experiences with the geospatial community, professionals can contribute to the industry’s growth and development. Those interested can reach out to Wim van Wegen, the head of content at GIM International, by sending an email with a brief summary of their article idea. The opportunity to contribute will allow professionals to play an active role in shaping the geospatial conversation and staying informed, educated, and inspired.
